A new face of Terrorism

The current events which are occurring in India give the one more synonyms to festival: terror attack. From the past 3-4 years, India becomes a victim of blast on several occasions. From poor to rich people, everybody seems to show his concern about this horrendous act. But if we look back at history, these terror attacks was around us since 1947 in Kashmir but people(except native people of Kashmir) wasn’t concern about these attacks because it wasn’t affecting their personal life

It is a normal tendency of human being that he won’t react to any incident unless and until he somehow, relates himself with the incident. Now after this serial blasts everybody seems to relate himself with it. And that is why; so many peace rallies can be seen after this disaster. But where were these people when a no. of innocent aam janta died in Kashmir on several occasions.

Indian government never admitted Kashmir as a disputed territory, thus it had seen a bloodshed event in valley like a normal routine of daily life. Kashmir valley terrorism has a different face; it is operated by a kashimiri mujahidin backed up by Pakistan. It is a war of land, war of people but the blasts in various locations of India are not a result of war of land, the prime motive of these attacks is inspired by a religion, now it is not anymore about Kashmir.

One Question which strikes to everybody’s head that what is the objective of terrorist?

To get the answer of this Question, we need to look back at world’s history. Mahmood Gajnavi has attacked in India for 17 times and every time he destroyed the Hindu temple, particulary the Temple of Somnath. Hitler had killed more than 6 million Jews, the most atrocious act world has ever seen. Why did they do? They did it because they believe in extremism. Extreme fundamentalists always want to get power so that they can spread their belief. Taliban is the extreme wing of Islam and the only thing that they want is to spread their belief at any cost. But are they only terrorist who threats the unity and dignity of India? You must have come across this famous dialog from shoot on sight: “All Muslims are not terrorists but all terrorist are Muslims” This dialog seems to be true, but if we look at broad sense this statement is one side of terror; it is partially true. The recent attacks in christen at the different regions of India give enough proof of Hindu extreme fundamentalist. Aren’t they terrorists? Extremism is irrespective of religion. But Lets stick to focus on only Muslim terrorists. 9/11 attack on US, 7/7 attack on London, the recent bomb blasts and terror attack on Mumbai are elusive evidence of a new face of terrorism which is not confined to line of control. The new breeds of fundamentalist are raising their heads who believe in extremism and to serve their purpose they can go beyond any limits

Now the very next question arises that are we able to stop them?

Yes, we can. Blasts in various locations happened because they get support from few local perpetrators. Somehow, if Indian government make people to be loyal then this problem can be solve up to some extent, but expecting this from Indian government is like throwing stones in sea. Neither the sea will fill up by stones nor the stock of stones will end. The other way to tackle this problem is to ensure the proper safety measure. But saying this can’t measure the gravity of action. To implement the safety measures, it requires the transformation of the government. One can’t expect it to happen overnight, government needs to implement more stringent law and order.

I remember the lines from Wednesday; nashuriddhin shah introduced himself as a stupid common man. We all are stupid common men who are watching the live action movie where one day we can be the part of it. Either as a victim of attack or raising our voice against them.
